Postseason Fantasy Football Leagues

The main differences between the Postseason Fantasy Football Leagues and Regular Season Fantasy Football Leagues are...

1) Teams will NOT be awarded wins or losses. Instead, teams will be ranked week in and week out, until the end of the Postseason, in order of the highest scoring team to the lowest scoring team.

2) THERE WILL BE NO TRADES OR TRANSACTIONS THROUGHOUT THE POSTSEASON FANTASY FOOTBALL LEAGUES! Therefore it becomes necessary not only to draft high quality players, but perhaps more importantly G.M.'s will want to draft players on teams that they think have the best chance of reaching the Super Bowl. It will be a mixture of the best players, and the players that go furthest that will enable you to become your league champion!

We support two distinct starting lineup options...

"Flex" Leagues:
1 QB (quarterback), 2 RB (running back), 3 WR (wide receiver), 1 TE (tight end), 1 FLEX (can choose from either one WR, RB, or TE), 1 K (kicker), and 1 DT (defensive team).

"Traditional" Leagues:
1 QB, 2 RB, 2 WR, 1 TE, 1 K, and 1 DT.

Costs:
We provide six levels of leagues to choose from, "A", "AA", "AAA", "Pro", "AllStar", and "HallOfFamer". The costs per team are $49 per "A" team, $99 per "AA" team, $199 per "AAA" team, $399 per "Pro" team, $999 per "AllStar" team, and $2999 per "HallOfFamer" team.  The entry fee levels do not necessarily correlate to the skills of the players you will find wihtin those leagues.

Winnings:
As you go up in entry fee from $49, all the way up to $2999, a higher percentage of the total pot is kicked back at each entry fee level, with maximum league payouts of 90%!

Drafting Process:

Draft Q & A's:

Question - I am in a “Draft” league with FantasyHeadquarters.com, how will I initially acquire my fantasy players?

Answer - All GM's participating in a “Draft” league will initially acquire their players via a 17 round serpentine draft.

Question - What exactly is a Serpentine Draft?

Answer - In a serpentine draft, the order rotates each round. Iin round one, the team with the first pick of the draft would draft first, the team with the second overall pick would draft second, on through the last pick in the draft (pick 10), drafting last in that round (round one). However, in round 2, team 10 would pick first, while team 1 would pick last that round. So, in the odd rounds of our drafts, the order would be 1-10, while in the even rounds the order would be 10-1.

Question - Where do the drafts actually take place?

Answer - All drafts will take place via each individual league's home page.

Question - How and where do I access my league's home page?

Answer - All league home pages will be accessible via the "Member Login" link at www.FantasyHeadquarters.com .

Question - How is the draft order determined?

Answer - The draft order for all of our drafts will be determined 100% randomly before the drafts actually take place.   You will know before the draft begins what order you will be selecting throughout the draft.

(1) "Live Draft" Leagues:

All "Live Draft" Leagues online drafts will begin promptly at the time listed on our Fantasy Football Registration Page, and that league's home page.

All "Live Drafts" will be held in a LIVE ONLINE DRAFT ROOM on your league's home page, again accessible via the "Member Login" link at www.FantasyHeadquarters.com . In a LIVE DRAFT, each team will have only two minutes to make their selections per round . Typically, LIVE DRAFTS can last anywhere between 2 to 4 hours, depending upon how quickly owners select their players.

(2) "Non-Draft" Leagues:

In our "Non-Draft" Leagues,  once a team has accessed their league home page, at that point they wil be able to pick any 20 players whom they wish to have on their Postseason Fantasy Team. Since these leagues will not have a Live or Email draft, teams are allowed to acquire the same players. Consider it an all star format, where you are allowed to pick any 20 players from NFL teams to fill out your roster. Each week you will choose from these 20 players to submit what you feel is the best lineup for that week. THERE WILL BE NO TRADES OR TRANSACTIONS THROUGHOUT THE POSTSEASON IN ANY OF OUR LEAGUES! Not only will it be important to select high scoring fantasy players, but it will be equally important to select players from teams whom you expect to go furthest in the Postseason.

Roster Requirements:

Each team will consist of either 17 or 20 players, depending upon what kind of league you are participating. All "Live Draft" leagues will carry a 17 player roster. All "Non-Draft" leagues will consist of 20 players. (Note: Individual defensive players are not drafted; rather, you will draft a team's entire defensive unit. For the purpose of roster limits, each defensive unit will count as one "player.") Owners may select a starting lineup each week from their available players. Below you will find two graphics listing how many players you are able to start, maximum, at each position. There is no maximum amount of players that you must have at each position. You may draft (or choose) as little, or as many, as you'd like all positions.

Decimal Scoring:
Though we have established rules if ties do occur (see above), we have structured our leagues to make that possibility a minute one. Our scoring system uses two decimal places, there is no rounding up or down, so every single yard your player earns counts. If your RB rushes for 95 yards, you get 9.5 points, not 9 or 10.

Various Scoring Explanations:

  • Offensive Scoring (QB, RB, WR, TE, K) - Any offensive player will receive points for any offensive statistics they accumulate. If you have Vince Young as your quarterback, and he passes for 324 yards and 3 TD, rushes for 37 yards and 1 TD, and also happens to have 12 yards receiving, his point total for the week would be 35.86. Broken down it would be: 12.96 (324 yards passing) + 12 (3 passing TD) + 3.7 (37 rushing yards) + 6 (rushing TD) + 1.2 (12 yards receiving) = 35.86.
  • Defensive / Special Team Scoring - Your defense is awarded points when any one of its members generates either a TD, interception, fumble recovery, safety, sack, blocked punt or blocked field goal. Your defense is NOT awarded points for a kickoff or punt return that results in a TD. If you have a DT, and the kick or punt returner for that team returns a punt or kickoff for a touchdown, you do NOT get 6 points. Rather, any fantasy team that may be starting the actual PLAYER that scored the TD would get the points for the TD scored by that player.
  • Fumbles Lost by a player on special teams or defense will lose 2 points if they turn the ball over to the opposing team. For instance, if you have Devan Hester at WR and he fumbles the ball away at any time while he is on the field, your team will lose 2 points. This includes a fumble lost while returning a kick, punt, interception (if your WR were playing defense) or while on offense at WR.
  • Defensive Points Allowed will take into account ONLY the points given up by your Team Defense specifically, NOT the points allowed by the team as a whole. So, any points scored against the offense (TD from an interception, safeties, etc.) or special teams (punt return for a TD), will not be counted against your Team Defense. This is yet another scoring niche that sets us apart from our "competition".
  • Defensive Touchdowns are any touchdowns scored by the defensive team. This includes fumble returns, interception returns, blocked kicks, and blocked field goals.
  • Statistics Corrections - Following the completion of each week's games, all statistics and point totals are verified, and corrections are made where necessary. However, all statistics and point totals for the week are considered FINAL as of Wednesday. If a stat correction is announced for the previous weekend's games on Wednesday or later, it will not be included in our statistics and your official Fantasy scoring will be based on the original statistic.

Lineup Changes

Weekly Lineups:
Each week owners have the opportunity to select their starting lineup for the week. All lineups must be in by the time that player's game begins. If you have a player that is playing in a Saturday game, you must have them submitted as a starter before their game begins. However, if you have someone that is playing in a late afternoon game on Sunday, you can wait until their game begins to submit them as a starter, or to change your starters for that team.  As long as you submit or remove a player from your starting lineup before that player's game begins, you will be submitting your lineup on time.

If an owner doesn't set their lineup for a particular week, the owner's lineup from the previous week will be used.
